Maplecrest-Sempar School is an independent school, which combines back-to-basics approach to education with progressive methods and curricula.
MSS welcomes the beginning of the 2009/2010 school year!
Maplecrest-Sempar School offers a Pre-School program for children 2 1/2 and 3 years of age. This part of our Early Learners' Program allows parents the flexibility to introduce their child to an elementary school setting either part time or full time.
Our elementary program begins will full time Junior and Senior Kindergarten. Grades 1-8 include enrichment programs, with French and Music beginning in Junior Kindergarten. We offer Before and After School Programs as well as many extra curricular and enrichment activities.
Children are the key to our world's future; and, in a world that is daily changing, the key to our children's future is education. We strive to educate and equip students to be individual thinkers with a love of learning by surrounding them with quality education, plenty of attention and exposure to sound moral values.

At Maplecrest-Sempar School we value our community and strive to create diverse and inviting opportunities so that students, parents and staff may choose to become involved. We join our efforts for fundraisers and promotion. We meet to discuss the present and future of our school. We gather for potluck dinners and family nights out of bowling and theatre. We proudly attend our students’ public speaking contests, science fairs, track meets, and musical and dramatic presentations. Parents and friends may volunteer their time during the school day to help with classes and lunch time activities.
We warmly welcome
new families to our community. When students are invited to contribute
to their school along with parents and staff, they learn to take
ownership and responsibility for their own education. By working
together with adults and their peers, students learn the value of
skills in listening, communicating, and facilitating groups. Qualities
of character such as respect, cooperation, and assertiveness are
cultivated. These virtues build strong relationships and will serve our
students their entire lives.
When parents make a
commitment to be involved in their children’s school, they
offer varied life experiences and professional expertise. The school
benefits from individuals’ strengths and knowledge. The whole
becomes greater than the sum of its parts; and the model of a solid
community is formed.
Maintaining a supportive
school community requires time, concerted effort, and energy. When
staff, parents and students work together to promote shared values,
beliefs and principles in education, a school can thrive on the
strengths of its community, and everyone involved gains from a sense of
accomplishment and belonging.
PEANUT & NUT FREE ENVIRONMENT
Students in our school community have a life threatening allergy to peanuts and nuts. The best way to provide a safe environment for these children is to enlist the support of the community to help make Maplecrest-Sempar School a "peanut and nut-free environment." With the school community's help, we will do our best to prevent mishaps and to make sure that all of our students are safe, healthy, and able to concentrate on learning. If your child has health problems of any kind, please inform your child's teacher immediately so that the necessary steps may be taken to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
